Georgian Triangle Music Festival Announces 2020 Hiatus

WASAGA BEACH - February 17th, 2020 – The Annual Georgian Triangle Music Festival (GTMF) a multi-venue, multi-genre music festival showcasing local and emerging artists from the Georgian Triangle and throughout Ontario is on hiatus in 2020.
 
“I noticed the tourism industry in Wasaga Beach is taking a shift and during this transition, the music festival will take a year to reassess the changing arts and entertainment landscape, see where we can be a better fit,” said event coordinator and founder of GTMF, Shawn Crozier.
 
Since its inception in 2013, this grass-root music festival has provided a platform for over 175 performers ranging from rock, blues, country, hip-hop, jazz, and singer/songwriters during the two-day weekend festival, while entertaining crowds at various venues throughout Wasaga Beach.
 
The 7th Annual GTMF August 23^rd & 24^th, 2019 welcomed more than thirty musical entertainers and featured its second headline ticketed event with newly formed Canadian super rock group “Bonds of Mara”.
 
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the timeless performances of each artist, our sponsors, host venues, residents, visitors, volunteers and fans that have supported our festival in Wasaga Beach for the last seven years. We have been honored to provide you with a wide variety of musical entertainment at our various host venues, and we look forward to seeing you next year in 2021.
