WASAGA BEACH MINISTERIAL FOOD BANK VOLUNTEER INITIATIVE & FUND RAISER UPDATE
Dear Impact Wasaga Beach Club Members;
For our August meeting we will be participating in the Monday, August 21st, Solar Eclipse Party Food Bank fund raiser at Beach 1 (see detail below). We are pleased to announce that to date participating Beach Front businesses have committed donations of more than $1,800.00 to assist in the relocation of the Food Bank. Please make a point of thanking them for there support when you are down at Beach 1 and also to thank The Beacon Restaurant for their $1,080.00 donation from the Canada Day Beer Garden proceeds and Alex & Sandy Smardenka for their $625.00 donation from proceeds of our Impact Club Buffet BBQ at Marlwood Golf Club. The continued generosity from our community & local businesses in both time and money is amazing!
In preparation for the relocation of the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank to their new location beside the Post Office the FB volunteers are working on the new location and move requirements. We do not have confirmed dates yet but we hope to be able to start all of the required painting in the near future. We should have updated information by Wed. Aug. 9th. We have approx. 12 club members that have already indicated they want to assist with the paining and if you want to add your name to the list please reply to this email.
Below is some of the promotional material we will communicate on social media and more detail will follow as we get closer to the event. We will need some volunteers to assist in collecting food & monetary donations from the public, as we will be setting up a number of non perishable food item drop off sites at the event.
