This group is designed to help promote our fellow business owners by taking some time to get to know one another and give each other quality referrals.
From 6:30-7pm will be our icebreaker question period.
Our meeting will then start at 7pm at that time we will do our introductions then we will hear from our speaker and then the 2 business spotlights. The meeting usually concludes at 8:30pm.
The icebreaker question tonight is “what is your favourite thing you like to do when you are not working?”
We do not have a speaker scheduled for this meeting. Instead we will be focusing on how to create a powerful 30 second infomercial.
Do you ever feel that your 30 second informercial is boring and could use some improvement?
After you have introduced yourself and what you do, is the person excited to get together with you to learn more?
Join us tonight to learn how to create an attention grabbing informercial
Our facilitator, Alison Pickard will walk us through what makes up a captivating intro when you are out at networking meetings or various social gatherings.
We will then create one and
test it out on the group.
Those attending will have the opportunity to offer feedback so that you will know if you are on the right track!
There are no Spotlights tonight so we will go around the room and ask each person what type of referral are you looking for over the next few weeks.
Then we will go over how to turn your dance card into a successful referral

At each meeting:
We will introduce ourselves with our 30-second infomercial
Then we will have a speaker give us tips, tools, advice and valuable information about small business in general.
Then we will have 2 business spotlights. This is where you get to give a 10-minute presentation all about your business. We will choose 2 members prior to each meeting so that you will have plenty of time to prepare.
If we can put time aside over the next 2-3 weeks to meet up with a fellow attendee, each of us will also draw a business card and then make an appointment with that person to find out all about their business so that you can hopefully provide them with a quality referral.
Cost: $5 at the door to help cover the cost of the room and beverages.
