Town of Wasaga Beach Official Plan Review
The Town of Wasaga Beach is working on a review and update of its Official Plan. You are invited to
join the conversation about how we should grow as a community by attending a focus group meeting.
Date: March 6, 2019
Time: 10:30 – 11:45am
Location: Wasaga Beach RecPlex - Oakview Meeting Room 1724 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach
Theme: Commercial, Retail and Tourism Growth in Wasaga Beach
The purpose of the focus group meeting is to discuss the following:
• Where should future commercial, tourism and employment growth be located?
• Commercial, employment and tourism market opportunities.
• What types of commercial, tourism and employment areas should we plan for?
• How should commercial, tourism and employment uses be planned in relation to where people live?
• How to support economic development, business, tourism and employment growth.
• Tourism accommodations and conversions to residential or other land uses.

The Town and consulting team have prepared a COMMERCIAL, RETAIL AND TOURISM DISCUSSION PAPER and an EXECUTIVE SUMMARY to support the conversation.
A GROWTH MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION PAPER with an EXECUTIVE SUMMARY has
also been prepared to aid in the conversation about how to grow as a community.

another representative of your organization to participate.
You are also welcome to attend an Open House later on in the day from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm, March 6, 2019 in the Oakview Meeting Room at the Wasaga Beach Recplex. Alternatively, comments and information can be submitted in writing, by fax or e-mail, or by phone, and/or by attending any of the additional input opportunities provided through the process.
