WBA'S BUSINESS HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT FORUM

WBA Invitation to Mayor Bifolchi and Council to Attend
A Business Health and Development Forum

The Wasaga Business Association (WBA) would like to invite the Honourable Mayor Bifolchi as well as Hon. Deputy Mayor Bray and council to participate in a Wasaga Beach Business Health and Development forum.  We have issued the invitation to Town Hall today to set up this much-needed meeting.

We have attached a copy below of the formal letter sent and we now await their response with availability to meet.

April 5, 2019
Honourable Mayor Nina Bifolchi
30 Lewis Street,
Wasaga Beach, ON L9Z 1A1

Dear Mayor Bifolchi:
The Wasaga Business Association (WBA) would like to invite you, Honourable Mayor Bifolchi as well as Hon. Deputy Mayor Bray and council to participate in a Wasaga Beach Business Health and Development forum.

Although we have had the pleasure of meeting and expressing our purpose a couple of months ago at the Chamber lunch, we would like to take this opportunity to express that our organization is in place to support all beach businesses and stakeholders in our town.  In light of the recent unfortunate escalation of tensions that followed the WBA’s last meeting and due to the numerous
inquiries from our members with regards to our town’s development, we feel that extending an invitation to meet in a forum would be a positive and productive next step to working together.

Our members and associate members are looking for our leadership to deliver a more constructive way to discuss our views, concerns and be engaged with the
town council outside of Facebook.  We are optimistic that this proposed forum will set an example of cooperation, constructive dialogue that will benefit the Town and our local businesses. Further, we feel public participation in this forum would be a valuable tool towards better informing them of our mutual challenges and ideas towards improving the atmosphere and setting a more positive example of how we can work together towards solutions, rather than apart towards misunderstanding and conflict.

We are proposing a format whereby both the town and WBA have an opportunity to present their views and ideas on improving the business climate followed by a Q&A period for each participant and another Q&A for the residents.

Moving forward in a more constructive direction with a team effort will send the town a positive message and set a better example of dialogue, understanding and effective diplomatic problem-solving efforts.

We look forward to working closely with You and Council in a cooperative environment which can only help us all achieve our objectives and priorities.

Please respond via
email to WasagaBusinessAssociation@gmail.com with some evening dates that are suitable so we may proceed with organizing this valuable workshop. Given an anticipated high turnout, either the Recplex or Marlwood Country Club may be a good venue for this effort.

Thank you in advance for considering our request to meet.

Sincerely,
Wasaga Business Association

We look forward to hearing from Town Council with prospective dates in April and will let you all know the date, time and locations as soon as it is set.
