SUBJECT:                 Continued Use of Property 550 River Road West, RP 51R26314, Part 1

Upon recommendation, The Town will be selling 550 River Road West to the owner of the 10 acre former Waterworld property at River Road West and Theme Park Drive. The Chamber will NOT be required to move and George Vadeboncoeur, Chief Administrative Officer has supplied the following clarification:
 
“The owner is considering options on how best to develop the property behind the current Chamber Office.  He will be starting preliminary design very shortly and would like to include the Chamber property in his design so that he only has to go through the full design process once. 
 
To address the Chamber’s potential need for an office during its transition period the owner is prepared to let the Chamber use the building and site for approximately five years subject to paying minimal rent, CAM, property tax and insurance.”
 
In conclusion, the property owner is allowing the Chamber to transition to a new location over a 5 year period.  As the Board of Directors of the Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce, our intention is to continue operating from this location providing advocacy, education, and networking to our growing membership until other arrangements are made. So we are happy to announce it is business as usual and we would also like to take this opportunity to express our thanks for your support. We are excited for the upcoming year and the sharing of great ideas our board and committees have in store for our membership.
