Dear Friends,
 
Our struggle for a high school for the children of Wasaga Beach continues. We need you, our fellow taxpayers, to join us in attending School Board meetings and writing to trustees of the Simcoe County District School Board to let them know that you care about this issue and that we will not let it die. The most meaningful meeting each month is the one held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. That is the meeting of the Facilities Committee which is chaired by our representative Rob North. Please consider attending this next meeting on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the offices of the School Board located at 1170 Hwy. 26, Midhurst, ON.

Did you know that the Ministry of Education funds all new schools in Ontario and pays 100% of the cost of that school?
Did you know that the Ministry of Education builds schools of all sizes based on the number of students the school is being built for?
Did you know that the Ministry of Education has provided 9.3 billion dollars for school buildings since 2013?
 
None of those dollars came to Wasaga Beach simply because the Simcoe County District School Board did not ask for any on behalf of our children. But many of the dollars that went to other jurisdictions came from Wasaga Beach, Is that acceptable? Do our children not deserve the same treatment as children in other towns and cities?
 
Let us work together to achieve this important goal for our community. Together, we can make a difference!
