We are just getting started on our Impact Wasaga Beach Club initiative to recognize front line workers providing essential services, supporting our food bank and also supporting some of our hard hit local businesses. To date we have received $400.00 in donations.
We have contacted Mini Major’s, IDA and Major’s pharmacies and they have each selected a $50.00 gift card from a local restaurant that will be delivered to them with a thank you card on Monday March 30th, 2020. The gift card will go towards buying a team lunch and is just a small token of the communities appreciation for the important work they continue to provide during this challenging time.
We have also put aside $150.00 to donate to our Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank but hopefully will be able to donate a larger amount as the initiative proceeds. We are also looking at how we will be able to recognize the approximately 50 Personal Support Workers that continue to provide critical care within Wasaga Beach, which we will update you on later.
Thank you for those that have already generously donated and if you are considering a donation you can send cheques to the following address made out to Patrice McCammon (Treasurer) and enter Impact Wasaga Beach Club on the memo line.
