Being stressed out burns your energy 10X faster than doing an hours worth of rigorous exercise. When you are stressed and feeling anxious your fight or flight response system is activated and your body produces excessive amounts of cortisol. This in turn will increase your blood sugar levels. When this happens you may feel tired, have trouble focusing, feel dehydrated, trouble breathing etc. This domino effect can lead to serious health problems like diabetes.
A little bit of stress is manageable, but too much stress in your life is definitely not good for you.
