The Wasaga Sun, established in 1994, is a weekly broadsheet serving the province's fastest-growing community along the longest freshwater beach in the world on Georgian Bay. In addition to a rapidly growing population of families and retirement-aged residents Wasaga has more than two million tourist visitors each year. The paper publishes on Wednesday and has a press run of 7,600. The Wasaga Sun is delivered free of charge to every house and business in Wasaga Beach by Canada Post.
