Johnny Max (John McAneney) will be Freakin' at the Beacon with The Freakin' Band this week, Wednesday, October 3! Johnny will be hosting in Virgil Scott's stead as Virgil attends his treasured daughter's wedding. (Congratulations, Virgil!). With seven CDs and multiple Juno and Maple Blues Award nominations to his credit, Johnny's an accomplished singer/songwriter. And to top it off, Johnny's got a killer sense of humour and energy to spare. It's ALWAYS fun when Johnny Max is in the room! And to make the night even more interesting still, Johnny will be bringing keyboard player Geoff Daye with him to expand the musical possibilities even further! Come on out to the Beacon Restaurant, 146 45th Street in Wasaga Beach, for Freakin' at the Beacon! Wednesday nights from 7 to 11, featuring The Freakin' Band (Virgil Scott, Carl Rabinowitz, Joey Miquelon & Dave Breckels) and a different guest artist every week. $5 at the door, reservations accepted (call the venue direct at 705-429-4433).
